Bublé at the BBC
Hello Charlie were thrilled to once again be asked to create the broadcast package for the flagship series ‘At The BBC’. This time Michael Bublé would be the focus of attention, and we would design a full publicity package that built on the original format, designed by HC for the Adele special the previous year. Tasked with the brief of communicating Michael’s natural charisma, we came up with the concept of ‘multiplicity’ to showcase Bublé’s many faceted persona. After a successful shoot, some time spent compositing and colour grading, we are really pleased with clean and classic aesthetic that portrays the cheeky yet professional side to this world famous musician. We were also asked to help with the visuals for 5 of his live performances. Faced with a challenging projection surface, we worked in tandem with Chris Saunders at Ogle Hog plus lighting technician Al Gurdon to create simple bold visuals that would enhance the performance space and not detract from the fantastic lighting and stage design.
