Ice Age Giants

Hello Charlie were commissioned by the BBC Natural History Unit to design a series of illustrative, explanatory graphic sequences featuring unique ice age creatures and their environment - for example, Smilodon, Woolly Mammoth & Giant Sloth. The design team created an antiquarian field book aesthetic providing a rich canvas for specially commissioned 2D creature illustrations. Inspired by an intricately etched, organic style the creature artworks were conceived in consultation with scientists and researchers the world over to ensure an accurate portrayal of the beasts.
