Natural World: Super Fast Falcon

The peregrine falcon is the fastest animal on Earth, reaching speeds of over 200mph and can spot its prey from 3km away. This film for BBC Natural World, narrated by Peter Capaldi, investigates the science behind the falcons abilities through a series of challenges using state-of-the-art technology such as ‘prey drones’, and an ultimate test of speed and agility; racing an Olympic skier in the Swiss Alps. We worked closely with production to create a visual style and develop graphic informative sequences that intricately display the falcons’ physical and sensory abilities such as their anatomy, appearance and behaviour.
