The BRIT Awards 2013

Client: BRITs TV

Titles, nomination packages and screens for the BRIT Awards 2013.

The conceptual approach of ‘Universal Soundscape’ works within the realm of audio and visual manipulation of the award. The award’s shape is ever-changing, becoming a continually evolving virtual soundscape, ultimately resolving into the BRIT Award itself. As the music plays, the surface of the statue comes to life. It ripples, distorts and shapeshifts, transforming continuously in response to audio cues from the music and soundscape. The concept and styling carries seamlessly through to the Nomination Packages and broadcast sequences.

This year we were also responsible for the ‘Album of the Year’ interview pieces. This involved forming the creative, producing, and directing the shoots. The interviews were then edited, and our creative carried through the sequences with a combination of projection and bespoke animations based around the artist and their albums.
